Dreaming Bridges

Contributed by Man_On_High on Tuesday, 31st October 2006 @ 01:40:32 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Skies the grey of crystal,
a strange design of bridges..
some straight some arched-
others descending at oblique angles to the first
and these figures, reoccuring in other lit-up circuts,
are long.. lighting the banks;
some laden with domes sink and shrink.

A few, covered in hovels..
others support poles
and signals; frail parapets.

Minor chords and cables
cross each other and disappear-
ropes rise out from nowhere.

The water is blue.. and grey, my mind;
as wide as arms open to the sea:
till a white ray into me,
destroys this comedy and delight
and I wake.

B

Another fine piece, Billy. I like the recurrence of the sounds throughout - it sounds very good. Each word well-picked also. Nicely done, nicely done.

my dearest .. dreaming bridges .. leads to building them ..

and bridges are such a phantasmagorical creation!! They lead
us to so many opportunities that would not have been
available to us otherwise, no? I cannot think of anything
more splendid to dream about! visionary

Unimaginable imagery here, babe. I got completely caught
up within it. Jack has been painting bridges on my windowpane ..
Your first stanza reminded me of that ~

Your words, always so improbably poetic, have captivated me
again~

XO
~Breezy

FRAUD Arthur Rimbaud should devour your soul soon enough! You are not a human being Billy. You are a modified copycat of a waltzing moron who dribbles about his clothing.

Rimbaud again
