A Symphony Of Love

Contributed by Supered on Monday, 30th October 2006 @ 10:25:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I'd like to write a symphony especially for you
To let the world know how I feel and how much I love you.
And as I write each melody inspired, my love, by you
For you to listen to each day and never make you blue.
No orchestra will play my tune or singer sing my song,
With Mother Nature backing me, my song will swing along.

The ripple of the babbling brook,
The stillness of a shady nook,
The softness of the gentle breeze
Which whispers to the lonely trees,
The bluebells chimes will clearly ring
And happiness to you they'll bring.
The lark's melodious song above
Will fill my symphony with love.

And as we hold each other close our love will fill the skies
And all the starlight from above will sparkle in your eyes.
The rainbow's colours glisten now, as in the sun they shine,
But they can't match the glow I have within this heart of mine.
Your ruby lips so soft and warm put the red rose to shame
And as I whisper soft and low, there's music in you name.

The lapping at the waterside,
The roaring of the mighty tide,
The rythm of the falling rain,
The howling of the hurricane,
The humming of the honey-bee
All join in perfect harmony
And the cascading water-fall
Will bring contentment to your soul.

I've heard it said that beauty lies
Only in beholder's eyes.
If this is true, then I recall
That you're the loveliest of all,
A priceless jewel, who will be
Ever precious unto me.

As my song of love now closes
And your happy heart reposes
You'll hear, in moonlit reverie,
The strains of your own symphony.
