Here's a ship,
and a map to
write.
Here is sea.
Here is where
we drift,
and drift till
we dream.
Here's a ship
and a mast to
raise.
Here is wind.
Here is where
we sway,
and sway till
we spin.
Here's a ship
and a wheel to
take.
Here is sense.
Here is where
we stray,
and stray till
we're content.
Here's a ship,
and a map to
shape.
Here is sea.
Here is where
we drift,
and drift till
we dream.

I love the flow of your poem. The short phrases really fit to what you are trying to say. Love the metaphor. |
