The uncontrollable rage

Contributed by darkscorpio on Sunday, 16th February 2003 @ 12:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It's like a monster, screaming in the night
That gets yourself in and out of a fight
It doesn't have a brain, it goes on instinct
Whatever it attacks, the thing will sink
Sometimes you wish during the uncontrollable rage,
You could keep it down, put it back in it's cage
It takes control, and after it's done
It boasts "I'm not prejudice, I hate everyone"
Is there a way to hold back this thing?
That every time it hits, it gives off a death ring
What's so strange, is that it's like treasure
Every time it takes hold, it gives you pleasure
Inside there's a war, between you and it
One side wants to kill, the other wants a pit
This pit will grow, and envelop your rage
And put it away in an inescapable cage
You've got to put it away, before it's permanently out
You've got to fight instinct, get up and shout
" don't need you now, leave me alone
When I want you, I'll call you, you're just a drone"
You better pray, you find a cure
Before you kill someone, that's for sure

It certainly shows how you've developed. I think this one has many expressive ideas.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
