The world will be there
- in your glass lens
- beneath your bare feet
you’ll know how wrong they were
when the sun loves you
- in Kuala Lumpur
when they cheer around you
- in London pubs
and the stone face smiles at you
- on Easter Island
when you make your life yours
but I know
- you don’t need me to say
life is bright within you
as I know it in myself
maybe you too fight
- to prove them wrong
to kick the cube of conformity
because their way
- isn’t the only way
not when your heart says otherwise
- when the soul feels true
a holy book inside
- older than man
life will go on
regardless of what we do
and it will be there
- if you step forward
I know it will
let’s embrace the moment
because the past is but dead words…

Aww! sounds like your friend is going through a hard time, and you are the one that is there for them, cheering them on, encouragign them to be the best they can be, that things will get better in time
you are true to your friend, and that is a very special thing

Moved me to a tear or two with this one.
I cannot pick a certain part as a favorite, the entire write is so full of many things, beauty, wisdom, love, caring, and best of all a heart that cares and is there for a friend.
