Don’t Cry Me A River, Dig Me One

Contributed by Channing on Sunday, 29th October 2006 @ 12:38:54 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Every tear every lie
Go hand in hand
Creating a river to defy,
Emotions so easily controlled
Manipulating for the greater
Of the two evils,
Is it so hard to stand by truth?
Is it that complex?
No, it’s just so much more fun
To lead into false beliefs
Burning hearts like the sun
Gaining what one wants
And continuing on
To the next poor fool
With the canal already dug out
But not this time dear
For I’m giving you the shovel
So dig me your canal
Let me fill it with my tearful lies
Making you feel the pain
And letting you understand
That actions speak louder than words

-Channing-
