As the light fades to darkness,
and the room turns to a shade of grey,
I watch you.
As you cling to that last breathe of hope,
and reach your wrinkled hand to mine,
I watch you.
As the time slips away,
and your eyes welcome the darkness,
I watch you.
As you drift into the night,
and lips gently exhale,
I watch you.
As if I can see the angels,
carry your soul away,
I watch you.
