My Beautiful Goth Girl

My Beautiful Goth Girl

Do the black lips take away the memories of past kisses?

Does the eyeliner hide the pain in your eyes?

Does the body art hide the scars of years ago?

Oh My Beautiful Goth Girl, if you could see what I see.

I see the pain behind your eyes and I see your scars.

I hope you realize that’s what makes you beautiful.

You have blossomed into the blackest of butterflies,

But yet, it’s the most beautiful butterfly I have ever seen.

You would not be you if you did not hide behind what you are,

You would not be the butterfly that I have watched spread her wings and fly.

I see you in my brightest of dreams, with black tears running down your cheeks,

I see you in my darkest of days, knowing that deep inside you share the same pain as I.

Oh My Beautiful Goth Girl, do you know how much we are alike?

I’ve always believed we shared the same soul, only yours is black on the outside and mine is held within.

I believe in you My Beautiful Goth Girl, I believe in your dreams, your heart, your soul and your pain.

I like this. It reminds me of ...well, me. Because I
am a goth girl. And like my b/f, he calls me his
"Beautiful Goth Girl". That's part of the reason I read this. lol
Peace be with you.

I like this because it creates a tie that is usually severed due to steriotypes.
