Mrs. Kites took me to sea
On an old damp yellow cotton boat
The wind was red
Like the fire she bled
From her blue bottle fiberglass coat
The clouds were alight
With the songs from the night
And the cat’s tail swayed with the mist
Bumble bees back
Turned yellow and black
As he pulled out his green Irish list
Upon that list was the red telephone
Which rang with the bells of the gods
Sam tells his tale with utter delight
As the rest of the cru smiles and nods
The bee, the cat, the fiberglass coat.
Mrs. Kites and me
Crammed on an old damp yellow cotton boat
Still drifting out to sea...
