Nothing Lost

Contributed by NoSaint on Thursday, 26th October 2006 @ 12:04:14 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Lost for a moment
The relics of time
Gone from this world
But not from my mind

What is tangible
That which is in my heart
Not the things
This world does impart

I will carry them always
Within my very soul
So they are not lost
They will ever be whole

Stuff is just stuff
No more no less
And the loss of
Should not cause stress

A moment of sadness
At the loss of something
Then joy and gladness
As memories forward I bring

Truly. As I go forward in my own life, it is guaranteed that there will be a lot less "things" in my life. Yet I have gained the satisfaction of having work to do and the tools to do it. So many things no longer needed.
A really good write that speaks of wisdom. Nice job!
J.

And who is say that something is not real just because we cannot physically touch.
What I mean and what I get from your write is that we all have much more than we realize.
That is well and artistically stated here.
