You say that you're leaving, but I don't understand
Maybe it's better because it's already out of hand
A misunderstanding was closing the door
On a friendship I thought that was worth much more
You're mind has been made up, you're not the friend I knew
That said "you're friends are childish, they're not for you"
Now I'm just a stranger and all the care has been lost
And the friendship we had is gonna be the cost
Of how love cripples the mind, so you can't see what's right
But let me tell you sweetheart, I ain't putting up a fight
I've been through it once, I know what it's about
I'm not a glutton for punishment, I'm haulin a** out
But one of these days, when your breakup is known
You're gonna pray that I'm there...
But you'll be alone
