Good walls buckle into jade
broken bulkheads filling
sinking feelings,
fingers count 1, 2, 3 then jump.
Once under, bubble memories rise
passing by,
one and each above.
As True Sorrow is acid touched,
sad skinned, salt tanned,
and then hung about the shoulders,
as the mariners crime:
love, love everywhere
but not a drop to drink, for the
throat is holding back pressure
reason: the world seems bleak.
This tacit Earth just spins on its axis;
a grey spine asking stem and thorn
are we simply animated? A distinct gradient
of foam: dry, hard, mostly sharp,
stretched to wax and wane
on the way to seamless stillness?

Wow, AJ, there is much to ponder here. Your final
inquisitive stanza is very thought provoking and
curious. ( A question that has been mulled, perhaps
at length, for centuries, methinks)
dark, yes .. glad it's not a chronic disposition, my friend.
This is one of most exquisitely expressed dark writes
I've read in a long while. You continue to perpetuate
wonder ..
