My Limitations

I could write for you a sonnet
or soliloquy to show my heart
I could waste a tree of paper
- a pool of ink
on a message never to get through
for we are nothing alike
which can’t be helped or hated
it’s just the facts
torn against this seat
I appear the labourer
but give me a word
and the mind breaks forth
give me a smile
out comes an undying heart
I’m nothing I was suppose to be
I’m everything that comes naturally
stuck against this seat
aware of my foreign tongue
- my strange philosophy
able to do anything
except get through to you.
