Reflected Perceptions

If the sun were to rise from the west,
Moss grew on the south side of the tree,
Heaven was here on earth,
And the future was not yet to be.
If the sun were to rise in the west,
God's creatures walked on the sea,
Old age led to birth,
And a mirror looked out and could see.
If the sun were to rise in the west,
Hell's portal required no key
Sinners all went to heaven
And redemption required no fee.
If the sun were to rise in the west,
Peace, harmony and humanity all free.
Youngsters were blessed with wisdom
And my father would sit at my knee.
Still, the sun doesn't rise in the west.
The future is still yet to be.
God's creatures suffer for peace.
And a Hell may await you and me.
