My Head Or My Heart?

I'm really confused, I don't know what to do,
I stop to think, I scream inside, I haven't got a clue.
Thoughts go back and forth, round and round,
Sometimes feeling up, but mostly down.
I know that this part of my life will pass,
But what must i do? Which way? Which path?
I think about the positives, the negatives too,
I think about me, then I think about you.
Where are we going? If anywhere at all?
Will we fly high or will we stumble and fall?
Would we be better together or better apart?
I close my mind and try listening to my heart.
My head says no, yet my heart screams yes,
Which one is right? Do I have to guess?
I do not trust myself to make the right decision,
I want everyone to be happy, it's my goal, my mission.
Yet I'm still stuck here, where this road parts,
Who will win? My head or my heart?

Great description of the agony of indecision!
I have been there....many times. Someone once told me trust in fate, if you can't decide then perhaps the time is just not right. But dang! isn't the waiting hard!!! |
