What to feel?
What to feel?
To numb?
To scar?
To continue with this shirade
I promised not to let it go far
Pelted with arrows
Not sharp enough to hurt
Sharp enough to render me speachless
Enough pain, or absence thereof, to remain alert
Oh, but what to feel?
My friends have left me for another town
Left me for another days work
It seems there are only drones left around
Scattered, so it seems,
My thoughts and the copies
But what to feel?
Haven't I found something inside me?
To sleep, perchance, to dream
To dream of sound and color
To dream with feeling and luster
To dream to fill that empty feeling
To feel what only I can feel behind my own eyes
To see what only I can see beyond my numb demise
Have I not found something?
I thought I never would end up like this...
I never thought one could seal heartache with a kiss
I was right
Physical being is anything but intimate
Lieing, to yourself especailly, is no way to live
Without practicallity, how could I miss?
Without something to have, how could I give?
Someone once said "We need
Anyone by our sides"
We need a new quote
We need independant, fulfilling lives
I'm content being numb on my own
Faking a smile for someone to call a drone
I wish not to be loved
I wish not to be left alone
I'm a contradiction, I know
Lie to yourself
Leave your emotions somewhere else
I can't help if you don't phase me
I can't feel you besid me
To be or not to be
(To feel or not to feel)
That, my friends, is the question indeed
