Wait For Love

Contributed by whiteleo1984 on Saturday, 21st October 2006 @ 11:31:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The sun reflects from her hair as we sit gazing into each other's eyes.
Her smile and laugh brings joy into my heart.
I know what she wants to hear, but I can not say it.
Instead, I look at her and tell her that I can not.
Her smiles fades into tears as sadness crosses her face.
The question is why that I can not, for she does.
The answer is far more complicated because I need more time.
Tears like a waterfall come down her cheeks, and she tells me to take my time.
I stand to walk away but turn and gaze once more into her eyes.
I embrace her with a hug so passionate that I feel it within my soul.
Our lips meet once more for a kiss that tells her that I do care.
I turn to leave and I hear her sweet voice once again,
"Take your time, for I will wait for your love."
