So I'll just sit here and listen with my hands on my eyes.
Being told how to speak, and waiting to be wise.
Maybe one day they'll listen before they walk.
Because a half life of drilling does nothing for the talk.
Rows of desks and single file lines,
Teach nothing to me of the upcoming times.
Thank you for showing me what suppression is about,
And that if something is wrong, to never speak out.
I appreciate the complete lack of democracy,
And the all for one honor you shell out to me.
No questions should be asked, for you are always right.
But at least you showed me how it is in real life.

I agree..I like your style..and the message sent. The school system has a lot of problems..my husband's a teacher; so we know. Classes are too large..that's just #1..not enough really good teachers..they lose heart and stop teaching.. |
