Love's Web

Contributed by JennyF on Saturday, 21st October 2006 @ 10:59:47 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Tangled up in love's web,
hoping to make sense of it all.
Breathing in precious moments,
while stumbling before I fall.

Days and weeks go by,
months and years too pass.
Counting thoughts and memories,
in my mind's looking glass.

I must think and reflect,
on things I should have done or not.
Not letting pride or regret,
steal everything I've got.

Love found and quickly lost,
much to my heart's dismay.
Gives purpose for my tears,
and sadness that often comes my way.

My heart is often eager,
to accept such blissful fate.
As love's sweet aroma,
I so impatiently await.

My heart has found that love,
something so unique and rare.
But the other's heart is closed,
from suffered pain & despair.

So I wait for time to heal,
and acceptance to return again.
This is something my soul wants,
but does not know how or when.

So for now I quietly drift,
in love's turbulent tidal ebb.
Waiting day after day,
so tangled up in love's web.

It really is good because we all eventually get "tangled in love's web". Loved it.

A very beautiful piece.
I did stumble a bit on the last stanza..
Perhaps...

For now I quietly drift
Caught up in love's tidel ebb
Waiting day after day
So tangled within her web.

Just a thought, otherwise as I said, a very beautiful piece!
