I need a room with a view
of my life
I wish to see the future
or will I be stuck in the past
Although the clock is ticking faster
The hour never goes away
And as the years go by, I age some more
But the hurt inside wont let me finally shut the door
on the pain, in my life
My success has hid it deeper
But the child still holds the knife
Feeling pain, you can not see
A self fulfilling prophecy
Will I ever find the key
and lock the door behind me
on the way out?

Ahh yes that endless search for that key ... I wonder if we ever really figure out who me is or if that is the reason why we keep striving!
Thankyou for sharing. I enjoyed it ! |
