A Man of Air

An apparition of thin air
he sits, knowing his place
as though he was never there
a forgotten corner of space
A mere figment of man
gathering the blocks to build
so then soon he shall stand
give the heart that is sealed
As he moves, things form
a body starts to fill the space
from this, the life is torn
before he has even a face
To what purpose does he labour
this man of thin air
if love is but a razor
if he will find no care?
To create two arms to hold
and lips full of life
a hidden heart, ever bold
why, if it leads to this strife?
Fade, fade ever again
he thinks, knowing his place
never meant to ascend
this forgotten corner of space.
