Wolf Among Dogs

As I gaze into the cloudy mirror, I see
The grey wolf crying the same sad song, all for me

And here I am looking so apathetic
And I can't help but think we're just as pathetic

I see the wolf in the sanction of white pine
The same one I see gaze at the sky and whine

And in the truthfulness of it all
I feel like I'm watching the world fall

Because I've been engulfed
I'm the lone wolf.

The wolf.. wanting to be loved
Staring up at the sky above

The wolf, just a dog like them all
The wolf, that can just as easily fall

So just like the wolf, I cry the sad song
Hoping that this feeling won't last for long

Gaze deep down and don't look back
See the truth written in black

That wolf is no stranger, it's easy to see
'Cause now I understand, that the wolf is me
