Let me

Contributed by Caged Soul on Thursday, 19th October 2006 @ 03:54:56 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Let me please,
allow me into your world.
You have protected your castle for so long-
surrounded by a deep moat of seclusion
and high walls of mystery.
Protected by your fortress you keep
away all attempts of pursuing love.

Look above your head- clouds are
gathering as night falls over your lonely heaven.
The night begins to wail, with occasional
comforts from your mind telling itself that
this is the best way,
for your eyes have seen so much,
and your heart has gone through the unimaginable.

But just because you’ve loved and lost
don’t mean you have to give up on love.
The world awaits your joyful spirit.
I’m seeking your unwavering attention,
but your moat is too wide to swim
and your wall too high to climb.

I pray that you would come down
from your tall slender tower, walk across
your grand courtyard and unlock the imposing doors
to your soul as so that I will have the
chance to show you the meaning of good loving
and in return, you will let me love,
let me give and receive, symbiotic relationship ever lasting.

That is a beautiful write. May that person’s soul open up to you and allow you to come in mend it. May the peace and joy you have in your heart be shared with your love that you seek.

  • Oooh, loving all of the metaphors here!
    "High walls of mystery", etc.

My favourite stanza would have to be the first,
    it sounds so majestic.

    Thankies for sharing. ^^

    Kat.
