Fallen

Contributed by SerenePsycho on Wednesday, 18th October 2006 @ 08:57:15 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Huddled in the corner
Escaping from the strife
I knew not what to do
Or why God gave me life

My bills were piling up
My bank account was tapped
My car was in a junk yard
Who imagined that

On my way to jail
You still pushed our love aside
But that's what kept me going
Through the darkest nights

I knew that you were taken
Still the truth I could not hide
So I had to leave you
And let our friendship ride

Though it broke my heart
Not to be in your life
I couldn't go on knowing
You would never be my wife

The pain has disappeared
And so now does the light
I'm sorry for your sadness
As you bury me tonight

Very nice work. Don't go posting many like this one. I told you about this site, don't go making me look bad. Just kidding. Keep up the good work.
