The golden rays have passed
- my love
I see you now in the washed out midday
- as you see me
the colour has left your face
and I cannot tell if it’s the sun
- or your heart
your eyes hide in the shadow
- of midday
do you still want lunch with me
- like you promised over breakfast
are you still as fresh as your were
- after that coffee I made
Still, those golden rays have passed
- my love
all that we have is washed out midday
- and the dawn of promises
now, I stand, pale and drawn
- fear I’m talking too much
for, I see trouble line your face
- and you will not talk
do you still feel the same
- out in the light
or am I just wasting my time
did you think it would be dawn forever
- or just took a whisper
before seeing my whole image?

This was a really good write. I have known the feelings before. When you know things aren't "right" anymore, they don't fit. One must move on because they obviously haven't found that soulmate yet. (and I do believe there is one for every person out there)
Peace, Laura |

Things do change over time. Sometimes they grow stronger and feed off the transformation, finding new levels every day. Othertimes they wither. Unfortunately, we never know which path a relationship is going to take until we start to tread it.
A good write

again the words you used are just so powerful and clear! awsome write. I think that if more people understood this than there would be a lot less heart-break out there. |
