In walks this thing
the beat is heavy
she is, as always, beautiful
- with pursed lips
- a light curvature
- slow and lazy movements
a moment fitting for a movie
and this is how she enters
I, knowing her, raise a friendly brow
she, in her style, gives the slightest smirk
- friendly, of course
asks for a cigarette
- I had the packet ready
she lights, asks how I’ve been
- a required chore
I give the basics
- pre-recorded
she nods, shifts away
- she’ll catch me later
when she’d like another smoke
- friendly, of course
and the room of men move
like wave foam around her
all bits of iron to her magnetism
- with pursed lips
- a light curvature
- slow and lazy movements
but, of course, far more interesting
- than a friendly gesture.

Wow, you just nailed it, man. I could see this chick as plain as day. (seen sister's like that) You wrote this though, as if I were sitting there watching the whole thing go down. What a fine write.
Peace, Laura |
