The Sweetest Thing

Contributed by devils_denial on Wednesday, 18th October 2006 @ 04:48:28 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I just want to say,
That I love her so much,
When she moves her fingers up and down my spine,
To me she has the golden touch.

When she whispers sweet nothings in my ear,
It's like birds going through a sunset mist,
She wipes away my very last tear,
With the sweetest kiss,

I'll never forget the day,
That day is when we first met,
She will always have a place in my heart,
‘Cos I've found that special someone,
Whom I will never forget,

To her I'm the man of her dreams,
The one she always wants to be with,
As we look at the romantic sunset, as it gleams,
For her I've got so much more love to give.

One day I'll go down on one knee,
And propose to her with a diamond ring,
‘Cos her love to me is,
The sweetest thing,

Well I wish you all the luck in the world, though it sounds as if you don't actually need it !!
"Birds going through a sunset mist"
Sometimes you read a line in a poem and think....wow, wish I'd thought of that one !!
Nice write

Steve
