She Needs No Serpent

Contributed by one-curly-fry on Sunday, 15th October 2006 @ 06:42:32 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

You’ve always been mine
but you’re always with someone else
who can’t love you
- like I do
with your big laughter
-and long blond hair…

~

I turned and found another
with long blond hair too
I think he smiles like you
although I love you so
- I will not wait forever
maybe he’ll amuse me too…

~

You found another girl
- but that’s okay
this guy won’t leave me
he’s too hurt
- too in need of love
to notice my wondering eye…

~

He’s cut his hair
- but given me a ring
he even tried to leave
- but you weren’t free
so I caught him
a new life bigger than his own…

~

You’re finally free
- my true love
but this boy won’t leave
- not so easily
I’ll turn his troubles on him
so he may destroy himself…

~

The child gave him too much purpose
even his past fails to control him
so this guilt may come to me
- but not now I’m finally here
within your arms
that boy can go to hell…

awwww, the games people play...if only we all had a copy of the game's rules. Might we play fair then?

Oh !! really good poem!!!some people just need someone in their life..like a surrogate. I think people need to learn to love themselves first and be independent before they can find happiness with anyone...male or female.
