Bright full-moon were I, crafted like an art piece
In full splendour, remaining with my love at ease
And keep watching with my eternal lids apart
Like the stars in the sky that never depart,
The waves from the seas that, are priest-like,
That move to and fro with the shores strike
Or gazing on the new white soft-fallen mask
Of snow spread on the mountains rocks
Or admire the clouds that go on with the moon,
Raising from earth they have this destined boon,
No—yet still steadfast and unchangeable wishes
To pillow my lips upon my fair love`s ripening lips
And feel forever its sweet, that`s always swollen
Which made me get all wealth from heaven,
Time to awake forever from this sweet unrest
Still, my mind longs to hear her tender breath
A reason to find her in the hearts of thou
And to realize how rich I am, having her love
And so live ever—or else swoon in death
A life like this, will anyone have in this earth?
