No Getting Over You

Contributed by Wordsmith09 on Saturday, 14th October 2006 @ 02:06:17 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I try to get over you
But every time I try to
My mind races back
To the good times we had
To when I looked into your deep blue eyes
And felt like I was up in the skies
Soaring like a hawk
And you were my every thought
There’s just no getting over you
And I don’t know what to do
There are just too many memories
That I fall to my knees
And ask God to take away the pain
‘Cause every day feels like rain
Even when the sun shines
My soul whines
In the thought that
You’re never coming back
I wish it were all a nightmare
That I will wake up to your sweet face so fair
And you hold me in your arms and tell me its okay
That you’re still with me today
I wish in my arms you would lay
And I would never let you get in harms way
I wish forever we lay under the stars so twinkling
But I know that’s all just wishful thinking
Yea there’s just no getting over you

Now this one I can relate to... apparently time is supposed to make it hurt less, but little old me is still waiting... great write, keep up the good work, and remember, the pain makes us grow (or so I'm told) (-:

pain sometimes makes time stand still and if pain helps us grow, there surely we live in a land of giants now. Nice write
