Have You Felt This?

Hate,Disbelief,Confused,Misunderstood,Empty,
Down,Judged,Distant,Lost,Wrong,Ugly,Fat,Fake,
*****,Stupid,Worthless,Labeled, Criticized

Ever felt any of these things?
If so then you are just like every other person.
So why must you always criticize them?
You hate it when people criticize you.
So what is the big deal?
You can't just like them for them can you.
But do you always have to be so hurtful?
Judging and people, just like them for them.
They are after all humans like you right?
So stop bringing them down all of the time.
Did you ever think that they may take what you say to their heart?
I guess not because if you did then you would stop.
But you cannot stop this can you?
You hurt people to make yourself feel powerful.
But can you not see?
That you could really stop all of this.
Do you know what would happen to you then?
Of course you don't, but you could be more powerful if you stopped.
Is that sweet or what?
But here is a question...
Why don't you try on the shows of the people you hurt?
Maybe then you could learn what true power really is!

I'm with you on this one mate!
When I was a teen, I was very fat and used to get bashed and teased quite often. Still, I never once hit back or teased anyone - because I knew what it felt like and couldn't create that kind of pain myself.
However, I don't feel that they do it out of feeling powerful but because they feel miserable and by bringing someone else done - even more so than how they feel - at least they feel good in comparison.
Good points raised in this one! Thanx for sharing it!

- Tim

I can really relate to all you say, I find if your to soft people like you describe treat you bad.. I always think toughen up but you cant change how you are... I wouldn't want to be cruel to people anyway I would not be happy..I think in the end you just avoid the people who hurt you if its family or friends..
great write. xxx

I don't think this is poetry as such, more of a rant against people being unjust towards others. Not everyone can shrug aside, as I have done, adverse comments about them or their lifestyles, but your point is powerfully written, and on that score alone, I agree with what you say. Well done.

I can relate to this poem as well. It reminds me of a poem that I had written before. You did a really good job expressing your emotions through this poem and it was very powerful.

Take care
