Patiently I wait
Beneath the star-lit night sky
A smile pushing its way
And appearing on my face
As I think about you
I look to the sky
Yet there aren’t enough starts
So I look to the ground
Yet there aren’t enough blades of grass
There is nothing that I can compare
The reasons or intensity that I love you to
If I could have eternity
It might come close
But I strongly doubt it
For no matter what happens
I will always love you
Even if you hate me
Or travel to distant lands
Or when you’re sleeping
And I’m no longer breathing
I’ll still feel the same
I just thought you should know
How I truly feel
For I patiently wait
Holding a rose of expression
Beneath a night sky
Illuminated by stars that can not match your eyes
Eyes that will soon be staring at me
Speeding up my heart
Telling me we’ve deserved each other
Right from the start

Your writing reads very smoothly and feels genuine. I really liked where you campared the deepness of your feeling to the seemingly-infinite objects that many people see everyday. |
