I am Just a Kid at Heart

Contributed by macgyver_dk on Wednesday, 11th October 2006 @ 10:08:35 AM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

I am just kid at heart,
My mouth runs without notice,
My brain thinks out of the box,
Many times I regret my vocal cords will not stop,

Concentration in many ways doesn’t exist,
In such deep thought I am away in a dark bliss,

Post traumatic syndrome wasn’t a requested wish,
Medicine that was suppose to help made me drift away,
Up and down, this chemical imbalance,
New medicine in and out is not to find the right one isn’t a dependent crave,

Sleep is a fearful attempt when the monsters of the past knock knock,
Trying to live in the present can be a challenge causing unwanted jokes and talk,

I am over zealous in the love I have for you my best friend,
Making you the happiest girl ever is my joy I have found,
I wrote about you for pasts and millenniums,
But this new medicine only makes you frown,

You ask why I re state the same questions,
To be honest, this tough Ranger is scared,
Scared to lose a gem like you,
Scared to wake up to find my life bare,

I don’t irritate you on purpose,
I don’t agitate you for fun,
I desire your touch and attention every minute,
But I speak UN educated words, every syllable a loaded gun,

Will I ever gain your respect?
Will I ever make you proud?
Will I ever achieve your royal greatness?
Is this just a dream, am I lost in a cloud?

I love you beyond the capacity of the word itself,
DO I worship you to high? Do I put you on the highest shelf?
You’re my one and only, the one, who has enriched my soul,
So why then, do I bring turmoil and dismay to your heart with my mouth?

Please forgive me and understand I am created of a very low form,
My heart is true and my soul is blue, and my feelings for you are true,
But I question my ability to make you happy,
When it seems I make you sad, upset and confused,

Marry you I will, and that day will be one made in heaven,
Until then I will practice silence and detainment,
I will refrain from UN needed words and jokes,
Because the last thing I want between us is a derailment,

I will always be over zealous to make you smile and happy 24/7,
But I will remotely provide this mutely,
Just know this my angel of my soul,
I do love you faithfully and purely!
