A Baby

Contributed by bhav on Saturday, 15th February 2003 @ 04:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Once heshe arrives heshe changes it all.
Heshe rules the family without distinction on one and all.
The kingqueen of emotions,
Heshe is at life’s such a stage where heshe
Can express everything loud and clear through hisher at times heart wrenching cries.

Hisher subjects are his her father, mother, granny, grandpa, uncle, aunty, relatives and the whole neighborhood.
Everyone is cooing and cuddling himher.
Life for himher at this stage is as good as his last milk feeding bottle.
Heshe changes ones sleeping time,
Gives us an out of this world smile when awake and say’s through it in short you are mine.

Nappies to be changed,
The bundle of joy is to be massaged, powdered and dressed because heshe is the king queen.
Life suddenly seems to have gained purpose,
Making himher smile at times becomes your only purpose.
The puff of hair is always a pleasure to comb.
Those teeny–weeny fingers trying to catch a toy.
To cuddle up a baby is such a joy
To have hisher wet kiss landed on your cheek is also a joy.

Heshe is life’s blank paper,
on which his parents have to write ,
And see that heshe will follow the script they write on his life’s paper.
Good or bad is their wish,
But always remember this bundle of joy is Lord’s gift.
Love himher,
Pamper himher.
Make himher an individual in the world who will always shine.

Valerie Pearson thanks for liking my poem. I tried to write on a topic, which has been dwelling in my mind for quite some time, felt really nice to know that you liked it.

Heshe was never a "blank piece of paper."

One kind:-- Psa: 22:10 " I was cast upon thee from the womb; thou art my God from my mothers belly."

Another kind:-- Psa.58:3 "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies."

Love the sentiment. A trifle unwieldy, but good.
