Simplify this confusion
And I will forever be in your debt
Explain away deep intrusions
Which have burrowed themselves into the pits of my chest
On the surface of my heart
Await corkscrews of mortal bliss
Pierced is the flesh and tissue
On which grows this dying itch
Holding all the love in-
Until it is laid to rest
Until it is wept for and woefully missed
Perishable are the fresh grins
Intoxicated from six shots of brown gin
Two arms held tightly within
Fingers crossed
Diverting the sick wind
Blowing kisses
Into walls
Of dried pealed skin
Past lives
Relived
Submitted sins
Denied
Omitted
They lied
Facts rescind
Send into the fire to fry
The heat denies
Comfort in
Reassurance from the sun
Shade from the trees
An occurrence of smoke
Burned into density
The nature it choked
Flowers reject their bees
Precious honey is saved
For desperate times of need
Four times the greed
One by one and one becomes three
Unique personality
Bleeds
Rushes
Then escapes me

I loved the way you included nature within this. It sealed the feelings so complete.
Love your poetry!

the second stanza was brilliant my friend..
and the sentmients throughout seem distraught-
and so, harsh times, do not necessarily always call for harsher measures..
just bide your time.. and the best of things will come~
your work is as brilliant and awesome as ever~
Your #1 fan..

jyss .. I find the title quite interesting .. I have been both the
duck and the shooter .. I can't decide which is a worse fate
the first two lines are dripping with an inherent human
need, (and drive ..) This is a search, methinks.
A search for answers .. a search for truth, even.
Exceptional . .. as always ~
~Breezy
