Where Did It Go?

Topic: AngryPoetry

The boxes sit by the door waiting
One last look around the place
She walks out the door, heart leaping out her chest
Slamming the door, she feels released from HELL,
For that is what he put her through for years.
Walking into the sunlight she knows life is just beginning for her
The world is at her feet, waiting to see where she steps
No cares, no tears, no rules to obey like a small child
No longer having to fight the inner darkness
She has found the everlasting light.
Everything looks and sounds different now
She is experiencing life without the chains of bondage
Chains that cut to the core of her soul and nearly destroyed it
He cannot hurt her ever again
His punishment will fit the crime he committed
Torture, darkness, the screams from the bottomless pit
He must face it all alone
Only then will justice have been served.
So knowing this, she walks with her head held high
Into a new beginning for herself
Leaving him to stand in the shadows wondering,
Where did it go?

It is like you were speaking of me in this write! Gave me chills for a moment.
You wrote this with such convicition and power and I could feel your release within these words. Good for you!! Glad that your starting anew.

Dearest best friend, Sonya~ I'm so sorry for all the pain and suffering you endured throughout this awful time. I wished I was there to help you, sadly distance keeps us apart. It pains my heart to know that he inflicted so much pain on you and you took it from him the whole time.
You are a special lady Sonya. Kind, caring and loving who doesn't deserve to be treated like s***. You deserve happiness, joy and love in your life. I believe that what goes around comes around. He will get what is coming to him. He has lost the love of a wonderful lady. He will only realize this when it is too late.
I'm so proud of you and of how you've managed to pick up the pieces and move on. It takes a person with a lot of strength, guts and determination and you my friend have all of that.
No more walking in the shadows hun, it's your time to finally shine.
Take care my dearest friend.
much love, hugs n prayers to u and urs~

You have expressed great strength and courage in your write as well as the action you have taken. I commend you for taking that step forward in your life in order to remove yourself and your children from that environment. May you find the peace and joy you seek in your heart.

The emotion leaps out of the page on this one, just like you were ripping off the chains that held you all this time.
Good luck for the future

Steve
