What a waste of tears.
I know I'll soon only be a ghost of a memory
that fades to black in a hollow hall of
others minds.
Familiar scent and touch,
but yet unrecognized.
A forgotten road that was supposed to be travelled,
by us.
Look at the dreams forgotten and left behind.
What this write is, is a silent cry that will not be known by you
because you never cared to read my heart.
And I may glance back from time to time,
and I'll feel the heartache that is contained in this
piece of longing...
Alone.

| you have got a real hold on the longing part. i've felt that way a lot in the past year. writing is a healing process in life for most of us not to mention a God given talent not something that can be learned. you have the precious gift. continue using it. |

I can relate to this... I liked your poem.. It was written and held that sense of longing throughout the whole thing..
