A Spark In The Dark

Contributed by secretwind on Tuesday, 10th October 2006 @ 10:58:29 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I've been feeling so
D
O
W
N
deeply abused
thinking that no one really cares,
vampires smile while they feed
demons laugh
as my soul is cracking
and all I know is despair.
While confusion reigns
and images change
I see something strange
I hear a new sound,
through the mist
I see a light
and hear a voice
moaning
calling to me
saying you gotta believe.

I'm feelin better
though I still feel pain
but I'm feeling better
cause I think I found a way
to get a little better
though it's kinda insane
to be feeling better
when I know there is no escape.

I'm feeling better
I'm feeling better
I'm feeling better .

Confusion and chaos clash
common sense and ignorance compete
in shadows I reside
struggling with this rage...
but
there's a new sensation
slowly
flowing 'round,
I pause
and experience
as sparks light up hope in the dark,
building up to a crescendo
calling my name moaning to me
and it's saying
your gonna break free
you just gotta believe.

Strength is what I get from this. Though you struggle you keep striving. Serves as a great message for all of us to cling to. YOu will be ok!

And believe in yourself you should my friend. You have the strength and courage to face whatever it is that is keeping you down.
May your beacon of light lead your heart to higher shores and lift the burdens that weigh you down. You have it in you~ I strongly believe that.
A very well penned poem filled with sparks of strength and hope. Wishing you all the best~
*big warm hugs*
