For time to catch up

Contributed by BSteel on Tuesday, 10th October 2006 @ 12:02:30 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

the penitentary hangs and swings,
castes a shadow on souls like a pendulum,
those that dare venture unconventional,
will find a convention essential,
I live for liberty and freedom,
yet to do so can be dangerous,
knocking on the door to the the next dimension,
still until I meet hell, I'm a live like theres two heavens,
such is my decision so I must clutch to all my possessions material or intangible,
clutch to all my positions with grace tact and cohesion,
leave no character in the design behind,
for all those losing time trappped in an endless circle labeled crime,
hold down for even beyond pride their lays,
a designed end of days, words can raise, words can sway,
but no word can personify God the thought leaves many in dismay,
that things are not they seem, the more you try to rationally come to grips with faith,
the more your soul slips inbetween insane and demanding,
the more you lose control of your part your destiny,
its all about listening and becoming less ego-centric,
but still we all need leaders,
so I will lay my verses with more perspective,
as a collective, force like a whirlwind,
whippping across the earth,
wiping out the dinosaurs of literature,
I will lay down my pen, for the sake of not only my kin,
but the movement that is moving in and all those that can not see the light of freedom,
those stuck behind bars I know you dont beielve me but the spirirt of your restlessness increases,
everyone is entrapped and tied to the times, the powers that be frankly are not doing a good enough job,
so I aim to represent all those destinies that were robbed, either through words or sheer blood,
soon this man will have it all, i pray I have the patience to let the design unfold,
until that day I will wait like a shepard for time to catch up.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
