Dying Angels

Contributed by SmileSkinDeep on Monday, 9th October 2006 @ 10:25:32 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Bring me the horizon
I’ll give you my all
Lasso me the moon and sun
I’ll give you: winter, spring, summer, fall

I’d give you myself anyways
It doesn’t take much to thrill me these days
I’m not like I was oh way back when
Now I’m just looking for someone to see my ways

Pain seems better than desolation
So it seems after I’ve been used to solitude
I know love’s neither of our destinations
So why aren’t we ashamed?

Just to have a “good time”
I’ve perhaps deprived myself
No one to really call mine
Left with an empty heart-ache
For another “fun ride”
I’ll buckle up and hold on tight

This angel is dying inside me
What’s left of what I used to be
She’s fading in my mind and grasp
If I let her go: I’ll lose what was me

I know its not time to leave her
I know I still need her near
I don’t know what would happen for sure
The future’s never clear

I’m not ready for that Leap of Faith
I wish I could know I’ll fall into your arms
But we’re only temporary
So how do I know when I’ve tripped the alarm?

So why is my angel fading?
Why is she shy of you?
All the while I lie to be elating
Smile, there’s nothing else I can do

So why do I return to the very one
Who is killing my angel?
To something I know will not work out
Take a picture from this angle
For it is not my best side

Am I simply settling
Or is this what I really deserve?
Some half-***** attempt for no one but me
This is the credit I’ve observed

Why is my angel fading
And I stand and watch her go?
To leave a good life aiming
And what will I know?
Maybe one day I will have better
So my angel has to know
I love her but must watch her go

This angel is dying inside me
What’s left of what I used to be
She’s fading in my mind and grasp
So I let her go: I will lose what was me

I will await my angels return
Until that time love shall, as well, wait its turn

Thanks for the comment on my write......I do know if ugly is in the inner it makes all ugly, yet.....I just cant see why ppl only look for the outer, of things.!
