When I'm Gone

Contributed by Willofree on Monday, 9th October 2006 @ 06:49:23 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

The beauty that engulfs me each day
Enhanced by loving arms that embrace
Filters through my soul
For the joy I experience
Magnifies the grandeur I see

So thank you my treasured one
As your love helped embellish this life
For without you to share it
How much less captivating this world would be
As it would be reduced to mediocrity

Sunrise sunset, what a beautiful duet
Joins in the symphony of natures orchestra
Where life's miraculous attributes abound
The aroma of Mother Nature's recipe
A diet of spellbound revelry

Having feasted on what God provides
Helps to prepare me for paradise
Into His loving arms I leap
As my friends and I grieve the end of my finite life
I leave all life's challenges and strife

I say goodbye in sight of rainbows end
I believe the Lord has a place already prepared for me
That is more magnificent then anything on earth could be
To be in a perpetual state of bliss
How could anything be more glorious then this!

Will~ SO nice to visit your page again! (Sorry for the absenteeism ..)

I love this outlook. It's so pleasant and uplifting.
The second stanza is truly wonderful and relatable.

Good strong piece with a positive and gentle message.
Excellent post, my friend. : )

Will, Your spirituality is quite strong and I so respect that. You sound as if they roots are now laid deep and your thinking hard on the next life to come. Another journey to be taken. I wish you many more incredible years before that journey be taken. Your writes, as always, fill me with thought. Thank you, my friend, for sharing.
Peace, Laura

You've placed yourself in His hands and you are content. The peace shines through in this spiritual piece. I like the calmness it radiates.

Not a moment should be squandered. There is, to your point, magic in the interim that exists always, but requires, perhaps, a certain sort of perspective to be fully appreciated.

I'm with Breezy on this one... it was that second stanza that I held on to as I made my way to the comment section. Heaven on earth, of course, is to know the sort of love that makes everything more beautiful.

Lovely post, and yes - delightfully positive.

I'm surprised at myself for commenting on a spiritual poem, but I must admit, this resonates on some level with me. You did a wonderful job expressing your feelings here, and I'm glad I decided to read this piece. I especially like this stanza:

Sunrise sunset, what a beautiful duet
Joins in the symphony of natures orchestra
Where life's miraculous attributes abound
The aroma of Mother Nature's recipe
A diet of spellbound revelry

Well done Will.
