The Orange Triangle

Contributed by alison on Monday, 9th October 2006 @ 03:03:02 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Just thinking of you the clouds depart,
Just remembering your light makes the darkness shrink,
Just reminiscing of the comfort around you the pain subsides,
Just musing the lightening of your touch the rain pours,

Like the steams in the sky,
Like the water in the wasteland,
Like rainbows in childhood,
Like fireflies in the summer,

The completeness,
The hopefulness,
The peacefulness,
The tenderness,

But you are not for me to hold through the nightmares,
But you are not for me to dry your tears,
But you are not for me to see every morning,
But you are not for me to watch the time passing,

Because the pain of the past haunts your eyes,
Because her pictures you still have,
Because the seal on the words on your heart,
Because of the lock on your doors,

Should I wait?
Should I sit alone and cry?
Should I dream in the ice box?
Should I forget?

You are the orange triangle in the rectangle,
You are something so new in the old times past,
You are the bedtime story told at dawn,
You are the champion who came in last,

There is to much in the way,
There is more than midnight in your life,
There is storms that you can’t see your refection,
There is anger that broke your mirror,

Is it me that’s to late?
Is it you that will never move?
Is it her that destroys you still?
Is it us that will just never be……?
