Swing Set

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Sitting alone on the rusty swing set
push back, swing forward
I think about all the people I've met
push back, swing forward
First thought that comes to my head
push back, swing forward
Is you and me alone in your bed
push back, swing forward
You entranced my body with your tender kisses
push back, swing forward
You fullfilled my most passionate wishes
push back, swing forward
You held me close while i cried
push back, swing forward
When i needed somone you were by my side
push back, swing forward
And just as summer withers into fall
push back, swing forward
So did our love like it was nothing at all
push back, swing forward
So sitting here on the swing set
push back, swing forward
I long to forget we ever met
push back, swing forward
To wash you away from my mind
push back, swing forward
Forget all the feelings I feel deep inside
push back, swing forward
push back, swing forward
push back, swing forward
And I let go.

I like the contrast of the very adut emotional side to the simple childs toy.

I hope you landed on your feet.
