Waiting for my Valentine!

Contributed by lowman613 on Saturday, 15th February 2003 @ 08:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

Theres roads,keeping us away,
your many miles from home,
I wish you were here this Valentines day,
But off to work you rome,
States devide us, from being together,
as I long for you here with me,
rushing home in this snowy weather,
I just hope you get here safetly,
So I spend this Valentines all alone,
Waiting oh so patiently,
Just to hear your voice on the phone,
hearing "I love you" desperately,
Yet theres miles between you & I ,
Its killing me to say,
I wait here starting to cry,
What a Valentines day,
I use to wait for many years,
just to have a special Valentine,
Now I have one whos not here,
To love,wine & dine,
Hes miles away, trying to get home to me,
Yet the snow is falling down,
So you'll be late,it was'nt meant to be,
Tomorrow we'll go out on the town!

I know exactly how you felt when you wrote this. I know how hard it is to be away from the one you love anytime but especially for holidays.
