The Voice in my head.

Contributed by jerseysue on Friday, 6th October 2006 @ 02:34:59 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Remember me he softly said,
Don't forget why I am here,
His words they twist inside my head,
They fill me full of fear

He controls the things that I do,
And decisions for me he makes,
He is the voice within me,
Of that make no mistake,

He sometimes berates me,
When I say things out of sync,
He makes me feel so guilty,
Makes me realise I should think,

He haunts the corners of my mind,
The very words that I do seek,
He controls my inner feelings,
And the words that I should speak,

The things that I should always do,
And how I should react,
When to be good and sensible,
When I show no sense or tact.

So who is this strange person,
Who takes control of me,
Who gives me sense of right and wrong,
He is my conscience you see

I can remember back when mine was a bit seared but thank God for taking care of us when we don't have sense to do it our self.
Good work.

It sho is nice to have my conscience in take again.

What a wonderful write. That darn conscience is always around. May you find peace with your conscience and have joy in your heart.

sometimes the saying doesn't hold true."let your conscience be your guide..." sounds like yours has made you fearful. don't listen to it.

My dearest friend, Sue~
You know I have become a real fan of your wonderful work my friend. Your work speaks to me in volumes. I can always feel a connection to what you wonderfully pen down. Not many writers can make their reader feel their emotions. You do it with ease my dear friend. As for the darn conscience, it's always there to constantly remind us to think before we say or do anything.
A very well penned poem as always dearest Sue. Thanks so much for posting it.
much love n hugs from ur fan/friend,
Sue M

A good write indeed...it reminded me of a song my girlfriend wrote(known as Lenore in the music world) she writes her own lyrics and one piece had a line that went "and a little tiny verse says no no no no......here comes trouble" and I loved that line. Although I have met some people who haven't had it installed yet and I refer to them as not having a filter..lol
