I've been waiting
Waiting to change my life
Waiting for real love
Waiting for something siginifcant to happen . .to start
--But alas, nothing has happened.
I have prepared myself for the change.
I have openly requested it to happen
I have sought out those to help me change
I have told them of my desire to move on
--But alas, they can not possibly move fast enough for me
So I wait and wait and wait
Patiently, with no reason to awake every day
With no purpose in my life
I try to write a list of what to do each day
--But alas, I just watch tv and eat casserole
Living in a place I can only refer to as small town hell
With people with small town minds and no soul
Worse than all of this - I am an outsider here
This is my mother's birthhome - not where I grew up
--But alas, if I had grown up here I would never return
I have passed my test and been accepted to work
I have been deemed righteous by many and they would love to have me there
I have my friends and working family all waiting for me
I have my friend who is ready to go out into the field with me
--But alas, they do not have any work for me, so I shall wait . . . and wait and wait

You have expressed yourself very well in this write. Great job! Welcome. The waiting game of life is never fun. May you find the peace and joy you seek in your heart.
