  Social

and on a more positive note

Contributed by Jyssvw on Thursday, 5th October 2006 @ 06:58:56 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Scared of my own shadow
Sifting through old trash
Separating the classics-
from the masters
in chronological order
arranged in separate pairs

I sit and I stare

drummed down was the tempo
dumbed down were the “I don’t knows”
a bums thumb found
with free coffee and warm clothes
three socks and three frozen toes
two clocks-
but nowhere to go
a compact
carry all
many more
days of
drugs and
filthy whores
money for
wishes
and keys to locked doors

sit and stare
nothing is there
so just sit and stare

try to compare
to privileged despair
to heightened awareness
to sensitive bleakness
its not fair
to just sit and stare

Stupid me
Stupid you
Wasted time
Dammed fools
Do tell tales
Of happy foods
Healthy moods
The feeling which looms
In the darkness of the room

In the pitch black of the moon
A reflection of heaven is exhumed

sit and stare
into nothing too soon

You certainly poured a multitude of thoughts into this piece. It echoes of sadness, despair and false hope, well I think, or have I got it wrong. Nevertheless it certainly captured my full attention. Well done on a marvelous write. Sue x

JYSS!
you have returned to form with grandure display my friend~
..the metre and tempo of every line.. foremost~
albeit: 'the jyss I've known and loved these many months before-
..and what a terrific metaphoric display as well..
I LOVE YOUR WORK.. exquisite parables my friend!!

2nd to last couplet: "I am stunned!"

..a return to fantasy-
never stray from truth or from that, which binds you~
