Ever have one of those days

Contributed by oneir8dude on Thursday, 5th October 2006 @ 03:41:05 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

You ever have one of those days where nothing goes right…
It starts when the sun comes up and runs into night…

You wake up with a smile and greet the day…
Then in return you get knocked back in such a way…

The hits keep coming and you get right back up…
Only to find in a never-ending twister you’re stuck…

You drop this and screw up that…
Got your path crossed by an ugly black cat…

You see the sun shine for just a minute…
Then your own personal rain cloud comes and blocks it…

You think that it will never end…
You just want to get home and begin to mend…

Five O’clock comes and then you breathe…
Only to find your truck won’t start… You can’t leave…

You’re supposed to have fun tonight…
But your bad day has no end in sight…

Buck-up little camper I tell the voices in my head…
Things could be worse… You could be dead…

This is my day…

Yes have lived this one often. HA HA Sue has a permanent black cloud over her head sometimes. But here is the answer:

Today was filled with bad times and sorrow,
I can't wait for tomorrow,
It can't be worse than today turned out,
Maybe the bad luck will turn about,

Good poem Bill, and very true to life. Sue x

Bill, What a sweet write. Yeah, I am sure we've all had those days. Lots of times when folks are mean, I'll just smile and tell 'em peace while I'm kindly holding up my fingers in a peace sign. Your last lines speak loudly on the kind of man you are. I too, when I'm upset or whining about something (yes, on occasion, I do whine) I try to think of folks way worse off than me. That usually is a good slap in the face for me. *smiles* Take care, big guy.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

Yeah! Only it feels like that almost everyday with me. It's like I am watching a really bad re-run over and over. And I know that things could be worse but what depresses me is I know they could be better too. ha ha. I hope things got better for you the next day.
