Back to square one again
But this time its different this time ‘round
I can no longer see you,
But still sense you all around.
A breeze upon the wind,
A whisper through the air,
I can no longer hold you,
But still can feel you there.
A scent that still lingers,
A ghost without the fear,
You aren’t anywhere near me,
But really, you’re still here,
A kiss that lasts forever,
Not a single moment I’d waste,
Thought I took them for granted,
But I can still remember the taste.
A song like a lullabye,
Repetitions of the past,
Distance may separate us,
But our love will always last.
Until you return to me my love,
I’ll take a trip down memory lane,
I’ll be waiting for you,
When you’re getting off the plane.
