IS THAT YOU DAD?

IS THAT YOU DAD?

Days go past like a thousand years without the company of your loved ones.
But someone came to Omar and told him he was the chosen one.
The man had ideas of winning a war.

Omar started attending his secret meetings regularly
He believed every word that man said.

In one of his meetings Omar discussed his problems.
A man told Omar his father was dead.
Omar instantly had a lump in his throat.

He became entirely focused on what was being discussed.
He also bought a gun from one of the men.
He used the money his mum had saved up to buy Mohammed his Eid Clothes.

He first felt guilty but then he remembered his promise to his mother that he would not let anything happen to his brother.

The day had come when Omar was going to give his ultimate sacrifice.
It was a humid day…..

He had a cold and calm look on his face.
The act was going to be done to symbolise the true meaning of family.
He looked calm and ready.
He strapped up. They were going to the checkpoint.
The place most of the enemies were.
They reached there. He put the timer on.
He was stood there in the queue to be searched.
He saw his mother. He shouted for her. He wanted her to get out of this place. She saw him and smiled and walked towards him.
She couldn’t make out what he was saying.
He wished he hadn’t done this.
As she came to him she shouted out that his father had returned home.
His jaw fell. His blood boiled. He felt angry at those men that lied.
He ran away from the queue, but the guard spotted him and shot his leg.
As he fell to the ground a louder bang than the gunshot filled the air.

Time froze, a spear had hit Omars mother, who had found her husband but had lost two sons to two different enemies.
One enemy that lived in her country and belonged there and yet killed their own people, the second one was the foreign people who were in her country to siphon the black gold.

Lets save people like Omar and Mohammed. Let’s stop the war!!

I wished the war would stop. Innocent people get killed for what? A deep and heartfelt write. I totally agree with you.
May Allah bless you and yours always~
big hugs,
dreamer
